    苏州城墙博物馆位于苏州相门古城墙景区内，于2013年10月起对外开放，为遗址类博物馆。博物馆分为展览区、遗址区、休闲观光区及办公区，其中展览区占地面积1000平方米，分为上下两层，集中展示了苏州各个历史时期城墙的形成历史和发展历程。通过具有城墙代表性的考古文物的展示，见证了苏州2500年的城墙史。其中，早期城墙的筑城之物--夯土、汉代水城门的水下门基础及水城门大青石门臼实为非常罕见的博物馆藏品。

    苏州城墙博物馆利用丰富的多媒体表现方式，观众可以参与其中，深刻体会苏州古代劳动人民的勤劳与智慧。

    Suzhou City Wall Museum is located in the scenic spot of Xiangmen ancient city wall. It is an on-site museum which opens to the public in October 2013. The museum is divided into exhibition area, site area, leisure tourist area and administrative area including the city’s natural evolution and historical vicissitudes for more than 25oo years. In addition, the treasure of the museum is belong to the Rammed Earth, the foundation of the water gate in Han Dynasty, and the stone gate pier of the water gate.

    The application of using multimedia information in the museum helps visitors a better understanding to the diligence and wisdom of the laboring people in ancient Suzhou.
